Today, you had the opportunity to express yourself through poetry. Reflect on your creative writing process. What did you find most enjoyable or challenging about turning your thoughts into a poem? Did this assignment change the way you think about poetry or creative writing? Explain your experience.

The process to write my poem wasn't that bad as I quickly found a topic I could write about, wrote the introduction, and just let the poem flow on my page. I found it enjoyable that I could just think and write a poem that flows but I did find the rhymes challenging. This assignment helped me understand how writers write the poems, and how challenging it really is to make a good and meaningful poem. Overall this process was pretty difficult but if you can find a topic you can write about easily then it makes it so much easier.

Today in class we wrote our inspiration statement, our own poems, and the themes.
