In “Heart, We Will Forget Him!” by Emily Dickinson, the speaker shows a conflict between what we think and what we feel. Describe a time when your heart and your mind seemed to want two different things. Which one did you listen to, and why?

A time when my heart and mind wanted different things is when I was trying to get over someone I had loved. My mind was trying to get over her but my heart didn't want to because I liked the attention of her. It felt nice to be loved by someone back and I missed that feeling so much. That's why my heart was struggling but I tried for my mind to push forward. To forget that it happened and move on.

Today in class we started working on our heart drawing and labeling assignment.
